Our A Team Lady Bears were pumped as they began their match up against our rival, Magnolia Junior High last night! Chloe Richards started off the game by serving an Ace for the first point! Megan Beuershausen showed off her skills with three great defensive saves all game! Ava Violette had 5 points on serves, including two aces! Jenna Shaffer had two “out of this world” kills at the net and Hadley Kelly hustled back court all game long, making some marvelous saves! Alli Gentry had several aggressive kills at the net and two nice tricky tips! Allie Ebbeler played a great game of defense and had an untouchable kill as well! Despite all of their hard work, our Lady Bears lost the first game 16-25.

However as always, this didn’t get their hopes down! The first game fed their hunger to win and Our Lady Bears came back fighting to knock the socks off of Magnolia in Game 2, 25-20. Chloe Richards was a super star, scoring 12 points on serves alone, including 9 aces! Leah Hammack showed off her “acing” skills and scored 3 points on serves and one amazing kill at the net. Haley Baird, Lizzy Mowery, and Camrynn Payne showed off their talent with excellent passes to the setter(s) and some tremendous saves back court! Their “never give up” mindset changed the entire momentum of the game! Hannah Avila showed great hustle on the court and had a nice hit over the net!

Game 3 was extremely intense, and a “down to the wire” match up! Our Lady Bears played their hearts out and had such great energy the entire game! Alli Gentry’s serves brought the Lady Bears back to life from a 6 point deficit! WOW!! What a comeback! Haley Baird had a great save, Camrynn Payne showed off her talent with a great kill, pumping up our Lady Bears to come back for the win! Allie Ebbeler had a great tip and a sweet ace in the final points of the game. Jenna Shaffer, Lizzy Mowery, Camrynn Payne, and Leah Hammack all had outstanding saves! Unfortunately, despite all of their hard work, our Lady Bears lost Game 3, 12-15.

Regardless of the outcome, I couldn't be MORE PROUD of our Lady Bears! They played such a great game and gave it their all!
