For their last home game, the Lady Bears 7th grade B team (7B) showed how far they have come since volleyball tryouts, back in August! In game 1 of the match, Kylie Murphy broke Magnolia Junior High's (MJH) serve to score the first point of the game. Murphy continued scoring with one push from back row and 3 points from serving. Michele Salas's front row game was on point! Salas scored with 3 tips and 1 hit, which she followed up with 3 points on serves and 1 ace. Madison Saldana scored the most points out of 7B's serves with 5 points on MJH's serve receive errors and 2 aces. 7B won game one 25 to 14.
MJH picked their game up for game 2, and 7B worked to keep up. Emerson Cykoski, Michele Salas, and Cassie Cleveland served aces. Carissa Thelen won points with her block and 2 "Happy Birthday" hits. Despite the determination, game 2 ended with a close 23 to 25 loss for 7B.
From the start of game 3, 7B was obviously back in the game and ready to win. Kailani Cromack made multiple saves on the front row and scored with a nicely placed pass. Michele Salas rocked game 3 at the net and with her serves. Salas earned points off her tips and hits, and she served the last 4 points of the game. 7B defeated MJH 15 to 5, winning the match!
