What an awesome night for the 8th grade A and B team as they conclude their regular season with WINS against long standing rival Magnolia Jr. High.

The B team started out with a strong win in two games with scores of 25-14 and 25-13. Olivia Anselme led the offense with kills followed by Izzy Luscombe and Aurora Flynn. Talia Frederick and Chloe Machos also scored kills from the middle contributing to huge points earned by the Lady Bears. Luscombe dominated behind the serving line where she led her team in aces followed by Delaney Sebesta and Audrey Conley. Madi Holder and Tylar South played incredible defense as they picked up everything that came their way. Kailee Aznar and Sebesta ran an amazing offense as they fed the scoring hitters and as they collected kills themselves. What a great match for the Lady Bears. Way to go! The B team will enter play-offs as the 2nd place team from the West side of the district.

The A team concluded the SWEEP against rival MJH in 3 intense games with scores of 24-25, 25-17, and 15-11. The entire team made huge contributions making it hard for MJH to ever get ahead. Mallory Madison played an exceptional match leading the team in aces and kills while also running the offense setting. Briley Smith and Addison Roden were very strong behind the serving line with Whitney Harper and Sydney Holland also contributing with aces. Ava Anderson was unstoppable on offense as her and Madison racked up kills from both the right side and outside. Smith and Madeline Ellis also made huge offensive plays as they hit over, through, and around the MJH blockers along with Cheyenne Vaughn and Carley Welch. Welch and Smith also contributed to blocking on the home team side. Defense and serve receive was very strong as Holland led in passing followed by Emma Bullock and Angelina Postel. This match was non stop hard work...relentless pursuit, and the Lady Bears just made more plays. They worked hard as a team and did not settle. They finished their regular season UNDEFEATED and will represent the west side of the district as they enter 1st place in the play-off game next week. Outstanding job A team.

Way to go 8th grade volleyball! Congrats on an awesome night!!
