Lizzie Mowery and Hadley Kelly both had some beautiful aces against Schultz, along with some great hustle throughout the entire second game. Our Lady Bears won the second match 25-10. This win allowed our girls to advance within the Tournament.

The second game for our Lady Bear “A team” was a tough, yet an extremely exciting match up! As the Lady Bears took on Tomball, Haley Baird, Jenna Shaffer and Megan Beuershausen played a magnificent game of defense, allowing Chloe Richards to set up Alli Gentry for two killer kills! Leah Hammack scored a total of 4 points on serves that resulted in two aces and two shanks! Our Lady Bears won their first match against Tomball 25-20. Unfortunately, our second game didn’t go as smoothly as planned. The Lady Bears lost 25-7. However, this wouldn’t get their spirits down!! The Lady Bears refocused and fought hard in their 3rd match against Tomball. Chloe Richards started off the game with 4 serves. Allie Ebbeler and Hadley Kelly had some amazing saves that kept the momentum of the entire team going! The Lady Bears were down 13-14, with Tomball serving. As the ball came over the net, Jenna Shaffer had a miracle save allowing Chloe Richards to set up Leah Hammack resulting in a game changing kill! With the game now tied 14-14, the Lady Bears remained more focus than ever. Jenna Shaffer brought the Lady Bears home the WIN with two magnificent jump serves! Our Lady Bears were pumped as they began their Championship Game against York Junior High. Chloe Richards started out the game with 8 aggressive serves, all resulting in shanks! Haley Baird had some great digs, along with Jenna Shaffer, resulting in over 6 points! Alli Gentry and Leah Hammack played smart with great “placement” on their tips and kills. Despite their great effort, our Lady Bears lost their first match, 20-25, but that didn’t take away their hunger to win. The Lady Bears gave a great effort and hustle to try and bring home the win against York. Hannah Avila even got her FIRST ever serve over the next, scoring a point! Unfortunately, York ended up winning 25-11.

Overall, our Lady Bears held their heads high and were proud to place 2nd out of 8 schools!
